Ukrainians were the most prolific users of Bitcoin before the war and probably still are so this should resonate well with many there.

Probably something like half of the military units and other charities accepting donations accept Bitcoin – there's been a lot of problems with companies like PayPal freezing accounts. Also you can buy and sell BTC (and other currencies) AML/KYC free in Ukraine. It's pretty common for things like computer stores to accept stablecoins as payment too.

Great to hear how prevalent Bitcoin is in Ukraine. You’ve been there on the ground Peter so this is a brilliant first hand account.
Thanks very much for sharing with us.

No corruption at all there, I'm sure...

i was asking a Ukrainian friend what the situation was a few years back and he was saying there are a ton of crypto change points with no kyc. so easy to buy and cash out discreetly

It's a bold move for Ukraine, especially amidst the war. Adopting Bitcoin as a national reserve could provide them with a new form of financial stability

it's also for the enemies they say...

How much of US money is going into this? I guess that is the question l would like to know. Bitcoin adoption is good, but how is also important. Has anyone heard anything about what Ukraine will give to the US after peace happens, if ever?

reply

Heard about this deal.

reply

It will never come true...it's just a deception on the part of the Ukrainians (like so many others in recent times).
