And even if you want to stream a video on YouTube, you're still required to login for subscription and notification purposes

But you don't need to have subscriptions and notifications to watch YouTube videos. I've never had an account, and I've been watching videos for years.

Agreed.
I am always amazed when I happen to use someone's phone or computer. They are "logged in" to everything.
No reason to make it easy for Youtube to track you, just to watch a video of a Cat playing the piano.

Exactly! My regular browsers are set to wipe everything each time I close them, and I only log in to an account when I need to access the account. I do use a separate browser for things I want to stay logged in on, like SN.
Now it's obvious you've never subscribed to any YouTube channel, neither have you gotten any notifications from one before.

My original post is not an issue any more. Nothing to do here.
There was a viewing issue on all videos but it is now fixed.
