Natural law will decide in the long future if including such arbitrary data will still consistently gather necessity from people. To me, it's simple: I prefer Bitcoin to remain a ledger for money transactions only.

The market’s fee mechanics ensure that if you want to put extra data into the blockspace, you're paying for it, which is entirely fair. However, I believe that at its core, Bitcoin should be lean—primarily storing essential financial transactions without cluttering the chain with non-monetary information. Let the free market rule.

If you want Bitcoin to work differently you need to provide a design solution that prevents this behavior. Filters and OP_RETURN limits do not prevent this use case.
