I was working hard on my presentation when I received a notification. I opened it to see that I had been posted to the primary school I desired!
Oh, what a journey it has been. Last Jan, I planned to leave my current specialised school and claw my way back to the Ministry of Education. Last August, I went for an interview, in which I received feedback that my talking style was a tad too colloquial. It was a long and dreadful wait until November/December before I found out that I passed the interview after all. But that wasn’t it. I still had to manage my destiny. Just because the Ministry of Education accepted me doesn’t mean that I would be posted to a primary school near my house. In Feb, I underwent an interview with the school leaders of my desired school. And stumbled over questions like what is your philosophy of teaching? and what are your career aspirations? But it seems that I had cleared that interview as well - because I am posted to that school!
Yippie yay! This means that I can take my son to school next year when he becomes an elementary school student. This will relieve stress on my wife. Happy wife, happy life!
Sorry, this turned out to be an avalanche of words. Now tell me, when was the last time you felt joy?
This weekend. Rugby trial with the son. He said he wants to go back next week, and the week after, and the week after... coz he liked it so much. It's cliché, but i do get a lot of deep happiness by it's transitive property through my son or through my wife.
