An old English breed; bred in 1700 by the Scottish Duke of Gordon, by crossing a Scottish sheepdog, an English bloodhound and some kind of setter. Original name: Gordon Setter.

They grow around 23 - 28 inches tall, weighing about 45 to 80 pounds and are good for sporting. The Gordon is quite an interesting breed.

The Gordon Setter is an awesome breed, known for their high level of sensitivity and eagerness to learn, but in the area of strength, it's no match for the Tibetan Mastiff.
