gun and horse changes
We're changing the gun and horse badges to indicate if you have wallets attached. They are no longer really easter eggs:
- when you have send wallet + device sync enabled, you get a gun
- when you have a receive wallet, you get a horse
Eventually these will be used as a way to communicate the status of your wallet, and other stacker's wallets. e.g. your horse gets sick when it's having trouble receiving and your gun jams when it's having trouble sending. They don't do that yet but that's the eventual plan.
You may have lost your gun and horse on deployment. I was able to add mine back by re-enabling my wallets. @ek might know why that's required to get the badges back.
smaller stuff
- @south_korea_ln made it so custom tips have more slots and fixed an issue in subdomain dupe detection
- @SimpleStacker made it much easier for us to test neural search in development
what we're working on
- @ek is working on wallet UX and wallet attachment UX specifically
- I'm working on improving the wallet core logic to support a variety of things stackers have asked for since we've added wallets (paying with CCs and sats simultaneously, better satistics about CCs vs sats, more ways for CCs to decay, etc)
- @sox is working on custom domains for territories (currently in QA/review!)

Since starting the Open Source Contributor Award Rules (OSCARs), we've paid a total of 20.5m sats to 45 contributors for 213 contributions! View a nearly up to date list of contribution awards here: https://github.com/stackernews/stacker.news/blob/master/awards.csv
(I'll try to payout any completed unpaid bounties by EoW.)
