Good article from CNBC about the looming expiration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement after next season and the potential for a lockout. I wouldn't be surprised if the league tries to implement a cap but I don't see any way the players agree to it.

Hi! Just to let you know that the link in the territory is showing an access error. When trying to open it, the following message appears: "Access Denied – You do not have permission to view this content."
Thanks for the heads up. I wonder why. I have seen others post cnbc links before. Wonder if it is because I am in Canada.
It's not the CNBC link, no. I'm talking about the link in your territory's bio — it's giving an access error.
Sorry, I am not sure what link you mean. The link to fountain for the podcast?
That link!
Gotcha. Thanks. I can see it. It's just a jpg file with the territory logo. I deleted it and added it again. Can you see it now?
Now everything is fine!
Great. Thanks for the heads up.

In my opinion it is impossible to introduce a salary cap...in that case probably the most valued players will leave the league, and find other leagues in other countries to play...
Unless they go to Japan where the salaries are much lower, there isn't really another option to play elite professional baseball. I agree though, the players are very unlikely to accept a salary cap,. I expect there will be some tightening of the luxury tax rules that will effectively create a soft cap and in return the players will get a salary floor.
