Thanks was hard to get out this morning after two days of moving house

Moving is always tough on your schedule. Good for you for sticking to your run schedule.

I’d be lying if I didn’t multiple times think of turning the alarm off 😝

Starting to feel better on my feet. Almost rolled my ankle but got it sorted. Should be better after I’m finished moving house!
How’s your week going?
reply
Still working on RUNSTR
Current version
It'll be on zap.store before the end of the week.
The 0.3.0-alpha release will contain
  • Activity Modes (Just UI changes for now, but will use step counter instead of pacer for walk mode and Mph instead of pacer for cycle mode)
  • Teams (Just in app for now, will add NIP29 behind the scenes to make it interoperable with other nostr clients)
  • Nostr Workout Records (Will use NIP101e for users to create workout records on nostr, plan to give users the ability to import run records in the future)
Other than that I'll try to hit a good distance run on Wednesday or Thursday.....although I should probably work on speed if I'm focusing on breaking 25min in the 5k.

Question what shoes are you running in? I’m running my easy runs in Nike Pegasus 35 turbos and my speed work in Nike flyknit zoom flys
reply
I'm using some dusty old Adidas

I’ve probably run 75,000 miles in my life and I’d never recommend a pair to anyone. I’d recommend you go to your local running shoe store and have them video record you running. They will determine what “type” of foot striker you are. Recommend that style of shoe, have you try different brands of that style and see what feels best. For me I need “cushion” shoes and the ASICS Gel Cumulus work great for ME. I also rotate shoes to help the foam fully recover between uses. Good luck

I'm currently running in a pair of Asics GT1000. I've been wearing Asics for runs since 2017. I like them and they work great for me.
reply
Do you do all runs in the same shoes or do you rotate pairs?
reply
I do all runs in the same shoes and do not rotate pairs. I only run in my running shoes though. I have another pair of cheaper running shoes that I wear for day to day walking and casual outings.
