And FT articles / all the paywalled stuff should be auto converted to archives

This is more than just readability. It's also about privacy.

At the very least, the OP could get an alert when using such links about such facilities being available (should be relatively easy to scan for twitter / reddit etc links and make a corresponding frontend alert prior to submit)
