what do you mean? mining noob here

reply

Ahh i'm just being a little tongue n' cheek with the fact that you don't actually know you have the ability to move that btc in that address until you try.

reply

This made me so happy. How many blocks total have the Bitaxes mined? Is this the 4th or 5th one now?

reply

probably around there. It's hard to pinpoint because there are many instances when a bitaxe could be grouped in with other miners. and not easily identified as finding the block. This is one of the clearer, more public examples of one bitaxe miner catching a block on its own.

I’d like to use CK pool to solo mine, but I’ve gotten really accustomed to the alerts that Braiins gives me when something goes wrong with one of my miners. It’s very nice to have that information quickly.

Maybe I’ll build something that can notify me if CK thinks my miner is having trouble

reply

ahh, ya hard to replicate that process outside of a pool and them using your email. I suppose you could try and set something up where you are notified when your miner's hashrate goes below a certain amount based on say the 5 min or 1 hr timer.

here is the miner that just won the block's page as an example: https://solo.ckpool.org/users/bc1qaxccz85rx6ywy2xw6ugtm6u37mvew6qqn7lgtd

reply

Yep, that’s what I was thinking! Watch the statistics for my workers and notify if they drop below a certain threshold

reply

could definitely do something similar with https://web.public-pool.io as well if you set that up as a back-up solo mining pool.

reply

Insanity. I had to double check myself. Haha.
