My experience with cats aligns with this exactly. I've noticed it usually follows a pattern:

  1. Try to impose human-rules/limitations/"order"
  2. Get recked
  3. Give up and surrender
  4. Repeat until realizing they are in charge not you.

A friend actually warned me of this when i first adopted. She said, you will begin to realize whose house you are really living in πŸ˜†

I marvel at your capacity to have a Darth Vader themed pictures for everything.

Seems like the Dark Side of the force truly teaches you something that the Jedi and their "Light Side Only" approach couldn't.

This is the purest truth! Cats choose companions to live with or a guardian, or more people to follow, not a master.
Therefore, no one owns a cat, quite the opposite: cats choose their β€œowners”

reply

sincerely, I never consider to "own" a pet (cat or dog or whatever).
I simply consider them part of my family, my companions, even with same rights as any other member (ofc in cats situation, they are the "king of the house").

reply

Me too, you can be sure of that! At the moment I have 6 cats and 1 dog, and they are a fundamental part of my family.

6 cats is impressive

As incredible as it may seem, the dog is more work than the 6 cats combined πŸ˜‚
