That's very insightful. It's probably very easy for most of us to underestimate the friction involved just in creating an account and that you won't "get it" without an account.

Stacker News Foundry: Narrative Building

I agree with you all.

I was aware of SN for the better part of my Bitcoiner Life (Bitcoiner since Summer 2021, aware of SN shortly after) but one of the things is that I never created an account and "got it".

I'd sometimes visit the website, or follow an interesting link here, but always as an anon, without an account.

I think that's one of the main reasons why it took me so long to stick around: because I didn't understand what Stacker News is. And most of the value of SN is in creating an account.

Thus, in a way, I'm starting to realize that what Stacker News is is just a better version of Bitcoin talk forum. But this angle "The value enabled Bitcoin Talk forum" needs to be marketed and shared.

Plus also the fact that SN only "works" once you create an account.

Anyway, my two sats as a recent Stacker.
