I’m saying it doesn’t matter. It’s just noise and a way for people to throw you off your game. When you’re building something great you need tunnel vision. Stacker News success is not determined by outside forces never has been. All it needs is for it to keep growing at a steady rate to sustain itself.
Most Bitcoin companies never make it past 4 years, SN has already done that. Most builders hardly stay on a single project more than a couple years. Keyan and Ek have already done that.
Never been more bullish on SN.
The longer you stay in the space the more you realize most of the people getting the most attention work like 2 days a week and just do the Bitcoin celebrity conference circuit. Keyan works like 6 days a week 14hr days. I wouldn’t bet against that.
All it needs is for it to keep growing at a steady rate to sustain itself.
Do you have any opinions on that? I'm all for doing whatever to help.

Yes promote your territories and think of inventive ways to do that.
I like what ~Stacker_Sports territory did by making a podcast. That was genius, or what PlebPoet does with her writing poems or photos.
Come up with interesting ways of doing posts, AMA’s and sn nerd-snipes on other platforms.

I'll have to think about that. I've been trying to focus on creating compelling conversations, im not exactly sure how to promote that, but I'll certainly keep that as a priority.

You could poach #asknostr questions that have no engagement and make them SN posts that tag the OP. That might help them see how much better ~AskSN is than #asknostr.

I need to figure out nostr apparently. Old people problems. 🤦‍♂️

You wouldn't be missing much, if you kept ignoring it.
Not determined by, but we don't want to be tilting at windmills if we don't have to, either. Knowing the motives and incentives pervading the ecosystem can be useful.

You can know the rules and the way it’s played but it’s far better to ignore it because once you see it you can’t unsee it.

You're probably overestimating how much esteem I old any of them in. I mostly just want to understand the environment I'm in.
