Interesting term: off-brand stuff. Do you mean the brands that are launched by the food shops themselves? We call them house brands here
i mean the obvious cheaper knock-off brands of a near identical product made by a different company. the store-brand stuff is basically their own private-label stuff. i do buy these in places like Lidl and whatnot, they're sometimes not the cheapest either tho
