It really is. Back when I was in California I'd make it once a week or so on our Weber grill that I modified to get the coals closer. One of my friends that wouldn't normally eat beef would chow on them.
It's just ground beef + onion pulp (they juice an onion and mix what's left with the meat). Not very difficult to make yourself if you have charcoal grill and flat and wide kabob skewers.
I don't grill, it's one of the skills I never really picked up. I'll just have you make them for me at the first global SN conference.
Try to pick somewhere nice to have it by the way, 😜

It'll probably be in Austin because I don't like traveling.
If you're ever in LA or NYC, they have tons of persian restaurants that should have it.

I bet I can find one between Milwaukee and Chicago. I'll report back when I have one. I'm a pretty big fan of trying new foods.
