Coming from someone that built their fortune on closed source software (that most certainly extracted more open source value than it returned ... regardless of how hard they tried to return it while moat keeping), it's like your dad the cartel boss telling you to go to college. Their example is their real advice.
Build open source if you want to fuck and get fucked harder. Don't build open source because a bunch of post-economic hypocrites are retroactively virtue signaling and looking to get more free shit from you.
