I'll say that it didn't feel totally flukey while watching it. Looking at the box score, though, it sure looks like the Ravens were the better team.
Here's how the Raiders won:
  1. Third down stops: the Raiders held the Raavens to 3/11 on third down conversions.
  2. Make your kicks: Carlson was 4/4 and Tucker was 3/4
  3. Field position: The Ravens best starting field position was their own 45. The Raiders started four drives with better field position than that, including two that started in Ravens territory.
  4. Penalties: The Ravens shot themselves in the foot with 12 penalties for 109 yards, while the Raiders only had 3 penalties for 15 yards.

That was the most Raiders two week stretch that you'll ever see. None of us were that surprised by either result. In fact, we were mostly terrified at the news that Darnold was starting.
