pull down to refresh

So, lazy day.
After late evening flights, we came back home at 1:30 am—not ideal, but sometimes life gets in the way and this was the least bad option for us.
I had no aspirations for Saturday; I knew I'd be tired, with poor sleep, in a new place and in timezones/extended winter light at this time of the year messing with me.
Woke up with headache at 10-something. After a liter of water or more, some light stretches, breakfast and coffee it still wouldn't go away. Paracetamol incoming.
Anyway, a subsequent reading session in the sofa later (among other things, reading @iamSINGLE 's great yoga post, #846316) I felt—like one usually does after having done jack shit all day—like a stiff sack of potatoes, riddled with bodily pain and plenty of annoyance.
Ok fine, I said to myself, I will roll out the mat and do one brief round of whole-body stretch. Just that little bit; enough for today.
But the mind is trixy, the body getting the hang of it before the mind does. Sometimes I wonder if the body just knows what we need, pushing us there before we realize it (whatever the "we" is that's consciously realizing things)
Before I knew it, I had done a few sun salutations. Body felt fine, after all; let's do some more. Then might as well do some push-ups... oh, Oka, we can hit #100pushups today.
And that's how it's done, even on days we reeeeally don't want to.
Get your ass to yoga class, etc... and everything else follows.
Happy Saturday everyone
Wish me happy Sunday. It's already 5 in the morning here. Everyone's asleep except I have been on parenting duty tonight.
I got ready for a running but it started pouring down, not feeling like it's winter anymore. My dog is stretching though. She's surely feeling much more motivated, I'm not.
I never needed paracetamol, cuz I've a self prepared decoction of night-flowering Jasmine, is the best medicine for a lot of things. Just take 30 ML after food, you feel rejuvenated.
Wrote this hiding myself inside a blanket. It's still raining and cold outside.

My daily routine is "The five Tibetan rites." I believe in doing little, that's the only way I can make the habit stick. I can't do push ups. 😔 https://v.nostr.build/aUoS2TclHzJeoU9Z.mp4

So far my workout for today was a dance battle with my daughter. Very fun workout but was short lived so I might need to jump on the stationary bike for a bit.

My workout was crying in the bathroom hoping my daughter would practice going potty.
Jk did a one mile walk!
