Gotta love how this was a citizens arrest as several citizens tackled this guy who was riding around setting fires to thrown out Christmas trees and trash cans. Even though it is believed he is homeless that does not excuse what he has done. With over 1,000 acres burned and this fire only be 35% contained the damage he is causing is severe and life threatening.
As one of the neighbors who watched the situation unfold said “A few gentlemen surrounded him and got him on his knees. They got some zip ties, a rope and we were able to do a citizens’ arrest.”
The Kenneth Fire is the 5th one to break out around the LA area in recent days and with this guy being caught with a blowtorch according to several news sources it is starting to come to peoples minds that these fires or some of them might have been intentionally set. If that is the case then LA and Cali overall is in a huge world of hurt with the dry Santa Anna winds and little rainfall.

How is it just coming to people's minds that this might be intentional?
It's the middle of winter (I know that doesn't mean snow in CA, but it's not a midsummer heatwave) and unprecedentedly a bunch of fires break out all over the city.
I'm not saying that it is intentional, but it obviously might be.

Well the Eastern part of the state does get snow with the mountains after all!
I think because of the numerous ones caused by power lines and transformers over the years that people kinda just default to that. Esp. since these kicked off during the super strong over 100 mph Santa Anna winds that people just go oh power lines not oh this is a great time to cause destruction.

To the extent I thought about it at all, I also assumed something like powerlines or other accidental ignitions. Once the third one flared up, though, it seemed like intentionality has to at least be entertained.

Before I looked into the fires I though it might have been some particularly nasty wind hit the coast and ya know just knocked down a series of poles but when I looked into it the lines in those areas had been "unpowered" for a few hours and that was when I went okay this probably isnt the lines. I could have easily seen to that a homeless person had accidently started one just trying to cook food or something but there are to many at this point and now you got this guy caught which I think seals the deal of most of these being caused on purpose.
Is it one person or is it several who know but I dont think these were caused by the power company
