Sure, and it deserves a fair income.
The matter, as I can see it, is that a lot of people use tipping as an upvote for the content, which is quite different than a "thank you" for sharing. So the user earn a lot of sats that should probably go to the content's owner.

People are using the tipping function incorrectly, sure.
But you can't claim it's a moral imperative for the content aggregator to share with the content 'owner'. 'Owners' have the same incentive to post their content here. If they don't, it is no one else's problem than their own.
A variable percentage split would be a nicety. It should be at the sole discretion of the person making the post.
