Was stressing over my node last night. Opened a fat sat channel to zero fee routing and the channel was dead! Couldnโt even force close it. I messaged zero fee on telegram zero said the channel wasnโt signed and to restart my node. Did that this morning and now Iโm back up and running. Currently rebalancing and routing payments again. Re established my BOS telegram bot. Feeling quite accomplished today. Today I might tackle the tunneling to clearnet project. Hopefully I donโt ruin my node.
We're continuing to build the Lightsats project ๐ for the BOLT ๐ฉ FUN Legends of Lightning โก๏ธ Tournament.
The team is all over the place, I'm in Miami ๐ด we got a member in Thailand and others in EU.
Project is coming a long well and I'm super stoked to be working on this, mainly because ever since I fell down the rabbit hole ๐ณ๐ I knew right away I wanted to build something to help with adoption. But didn't have the technical background to start building something on my own.
So a magical ๐งโโ๏ธ moment happened on Twitter where a Bitcoin OG asked the community if anyone was building a solution to a problem he seemed to be having. "How can I gift sats to newbies without having to onboard them and also without losing them in case the person is not interested?"
That's when I decided to take on this challenge with our team and come up with something that us bitcoiners can use as a tool to orange ๐ ๐ tip/gift no-coiners with the reassurance that if the person does not show interest in learning or exploring the funds are recoverable, but in case they are how does the user self-onboards themselves to explore the possibilities of Bitcoin.
We're now in week 2 of the tournament and we cranked out a fully functional proof of concept here yet there are still many features that need to be added, one of the most important one is being able to login via LNURL-auth since we all bitcoiners care about privacy and don't want to give out personal information.
In case anyone wants to take it for a spin please do, but make sure you do very small amount of sats and also you can use a service like Mailinator to create disposable email addresses.
Also if you guys want to follow the project on twitter its Lightsats21
Have been making steady progress in my little cabin project ๐
Iโve had a lot of stuff to do at once during the last few days and didnโt really have time for my cell or laptop. Despite all the difficulties, I managed to finish the roof and cover most of the building with permeable membrane. I also installed some kind of rooftop fall protection with my slackline, some shackles and carabiners ๐ (top of the roof is nearly 4 meters high)
Anyways, hereโs some photos from the recent days :)
Yes, pretty much long cold winters here ๐ (4 - 5 months long). The cabin is definitely not meant for full time living. I'd like to spend most of late spring, summer, early fall living in it, and visit occasionally during the winter. I'll be putting insulation inside and a small heater.
