Seems like Cricket fielding positions. But you guys speak or write the abbreviations but we do it in the phrases like long on, long off, wicket keeper, square leg, point, gully, cow corner, silly point, deep mid wicket, cover, deep cover, third man, fine, silly mid on, extra cover, straight mid fielder.
Very similar. None of those mean anything to me, but I bet they would after just a few games.

Yes, I'm regularly watching highlights and while listening to the commentry I'm learning about them. I'm pretty sure that I'll better you in terms of understanding your own sport.

Maybe so. That's not a super high bar.

I don't like placing high bars on things that are non-finacial. Still it's okay for someone who's hardly watching 10 minutes daily.
