I have been thinking about this territory a lot lately. I'm trying to figure out the nuts and bolts for setting up smooth transactions. The guide didn't mention anything about delivery or shipping ideas. Perhaps I missed it. For physical goods travelling long distances, domestic or international, I'm sure this gets complicated. In addition to costs, methods, etc, I'm sure privacy is a major issue for both parties.
How is this typically addressed?
I am curious to know if anyone has used bitcoin escrow to complete sales?

We plan to add end to end encrypted comments. Shipping/order info will be shared in comments like that

This is great news for so many use cases. It will be a game changer.

For sure. We plan to do some weird stuff like this with “dms.”
On “marketplace” posts, you’ll be able to leave regular comments or place an order which basically begins an end to end encrypted comment thread branch with the seller.

The seller dox itself when the sender address is placed in the parcel as return addres. In reality, you can use an address that is not related. A PO box is not always accepted. We have been looking into this and there are services that handle such things for you maintaining sender privacy safe.
However, it's a a complicated topic because there are many factors that influence pricing and delivery times. Without considering the privacy aspect, returns, refunds...

The end-user could also get it shipped to an Amazon box in the city to avoid Doxing your home address.

Simply add your details in the comment-section of a tx, no?

I guess that keeps your name and nym separated, because the invoice wouldn't say who it's from.

This, and you only ship to people who have already paid in-full beforehand, making it easier to keep track of who has paid - and thus, is eligible for shipping -, and who hasn't yet.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you handle your bag sales?

Not. I've yet to finalize the design / fabric choice.
I'm close to finishing, but things have been quiet for a few weeks now, as there's still holidays here, which means that retailers / companies are down until next week-ish.
I hope to be sewing before March.

But I'll create a Shopify-store and add BTC Pay to my payment options, thus it'll most likely be handled by the generated invoices of BTC Pay.
