Merry Christmas Stackers!
I know everyone is busy with family stuff today and rightfully so. I am as well. But I am posting this for anyone that wants to talk NFL or NBA games today.
I will be doing family stuff but keeping an eye on the various games and popping in and out of the thread when I can.
Enjoy your day and the games if you are watching.
Sats for all, GR
Should the Steelers start Fields next week?
reply
Not unless they're trying to lose on purpose.
reply
Oh man. I was pretty pleased with Lamar not absolutely exploding in the first half but I think he just doubled his fantasy points with that 50 yard TD run. And it’s still early in the third. He is going to put up over 30
reply
I don’t think they have a better chance with Wilson. Ravens are going to win the division. They probably end up going to Baltimore or Buffalo in the wild card round.
reply
Sucks for them
reply
no
edit: hell no, @grayruby sounds like Fields' social media manager
reply
Haha. I just have an animus towards Russell Wilson after he owned the 49ers for so many years. Besides didn't he steal money from his own charity?
reply
He definitely stole money from the Broncos

here is chat gpt:
The Why Not You Foundation, founded by Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara in 2014, is dedicated to empowering youth, especially in the areas of education, health, and wellness. The foundation has been involved in numerous charitable events and initiatives, including scholarships and supporting underprivileged youth.
However, there have been some controversies and criticisms regarding the foundation, mainly revolving around fund allocation and transparency. Here are a few points that have raised questions:
  1. Use of Funds: Some critics have pointed out that a significant portion of the foundation's funds has been directed toward administrative costs rather than directly benefiting the youth programs. This is common in many large charities, but transparency is often a key concern when dealing with charitable donations. There have been questions about how much of the donations actually reach the intended causes.
  2. Financial Reporting: There were some concerns about the foundation's financial reporting and the disclosure of its operations. In the early years, some critics noted that the foundation did not publicly provide detailed financial information, which led to calls for more transparency. However, this was addressed when the organization began publishing financial documents, which are typical for nonprofit organizations in the U.S.
  3. Overhead Costs: As with many foundations, a certain portion of the donations goes to operating expenses, such as salaries, event costs, and marketing. For a charity with such high-profile figures as Russell Wilson and Ciara, these costs were sometimes seen as disproportionately high relative to the funds spent directly on charitable causes. Again, this issue is common in many nonprofits, but it still raised some eyebrows.
Despite these criticisms, there have been no significant allegations of misconduct, fraud, or illegal activity related to the foundation. Russell Wilson and Ciara have made efforts to address concerns and have continued to work on improving the organization's transparency and impact. It's important to note that many of these types of issues are common with large charitable foundations, and they don't necessarily imply intentional wrongdoing.
Overall, while there have been discussions about the financial efficiency of the Why Not You Foundation, it has not been embroiled in major scandals or accusations of theft. The foundation continues to do important work in the areas it aims to support.

NFL has to stop with the terrible pop star halftime shows.
reply
Who are these for?
reply
Trying to get people who don’t watch football to watch.
They don’t get paid to perform. In fact some even pay out of pocket if the show budget is not enough.
reply
Why not just put more football in? That seems simpler. Don't they lengthen the halftimes for these performances?
reply
I guess they want the media hype over the halftime show. Some people like these artists for some strange reason.
reply
I wonder who. None of my normie relatives even recognized Beyonce.

Started to feel dizzy and unwell late in the morning and went for a long nap, got up just now. Sucks to get sick on Christmas day. I guess I'll miss out on the family dinner hosted at our home.
Seems like I missed a good one in Knicks vs Spurs, and the 76ers are leading the Celtics?? Debating whether I should turn on the games or just go back to bed...
reply
Go back to bed
reply
I took your advice and went back to bed. Slept a bit more and felt well enough to join in on the family dinner. Most importantly, to turn on the TV and catch the Warriors vs Lakers game. Man, what an ending! At one point, even all the women (who normally none of them pay any attention to basketball) at the table were paying attention to that Curry magic. I thought it was going OT, but Reaves had to ruin the party like that. Wish everyone had a great Christmas!
reply
Chiefs heating up at the wrong time of year. I don’t like this.
reply
I swear I saw the Steelers score a TD, but the next thing I know Russ is throwing a pick in the endzone.
It's only the 1st quarter!
reply
reply
Great game, but they need to slow Wemby down.
reply
No one is slowing down this young man. 42 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks, monster game.
reply
Amazing game.
reply
When it mattered, though, the Spurs couldn't slow down Josh Hart.
reply
You love you some Josh Hart.
reply
Anyone who doesn't doesn't love basketball.
reply
Hell of a game from Bridges too.
reply
Absolutely!
And don't forget my favorite Knick: Josh Hart. He had several huge offensive boards to close the game out.
reply
False start on the RT on that TD pass. Come on refs.
reply
I will never forgive Boston if they blow this game.
reply
I will move them out of my top 3 if they lose to the biggest loser.
reply
The Boston Celtics owe me 500 sats for that BS.
reply
Russ with a completely unforced fumble.
Chiefs miss a 48 yard extra point, because of a taunting penalty.
Couldn't ask for much more.
reply
Of course the Chiefs fumble and it bounces right back to them. Only saw that 4 times in the Super Bowl. Mahomes witch doctor should be MVP.
reply
This game is hilarious, but it looks the Chiefs might finally crack 31 points.
reply
Russ has turned back into a pumpkin.
reply
He was always a pumpkin.
reply
He has some good years in Seattle.
reply
I only meant this season. Once a pumpkin, always a pumpkin.
reply
Patrick Queen didn’t miss that last year on Christmas against Purdy but Mahomes black magic is Mahomes black magic.
His body clock is off
reply
I'm keeping an eye on the games. Not sure how much I'll actually get to watch.
reply
Go Chiefs! Do it again!
reply
Backing Ravens in a few hours.
reply
I’m not watching 😭😭
Merry Christmas!
reply
I am half watching. I keep popping in on the game while we do Christmas things.
Merry Christmas!
reply
@grayruby is like Santa, always watching 🎅
reply
I am not watching you when you are sleeping RBD. Haha
reply
Sleep? Ah yes, my Christmas wish unfulfilled 😭😭
reply
Don't bet against the Ravens on Christmas
0-2 today
but I did pick the Ravens last Christmas when they crushed 49ers and Darnold replaced Purdy in 4th quarter
reply
Too bad I'm out in fantasy, because the Chiefs D would be giving me some sweet numbers.
reply
I thought the NBA conceded Christmas to NFL.
reply
reply
I need Henry 50+ rushing Mixon 25+ rushing Jackson 150+ passing Stroud 175+ passing
reply
I expect this to hit
reply
Yeah. It’s the least alt yards I could bet on each one. Doesn’t pay out a lot about 50% of bet.
