In here a bathtubs is pretty common among older generation houses, but then younger people who can't afford big houses with big bathrooms are forced to choose a shower over a bathtube and we all end up showering instead of enjoying the relaxing vibes of a old fashioned bathtub
Is owning a house important to the Italians? Or is it fine for you guys to rent an apartment for your entire life?

it's probably the most important "step" in our lives. Of course things are changing, but it still is "unthinkable" for us living on a rented apartment for many years, let alone the entire life!
This is what has saved us from many crisis, I mean the real estate assets that we have and that we inherit from previous generations when we aren't capable to buy one.

It sounds like Singapore, in which the rich-poor divide is growing wider. The richer children can expect their parents to subsidise the buying of a property, but the poorer ones will probably never get out of their rented flats
