it's probably the most important "step" in our lives. Of course things are changing, but it still is "unthinkable" for us living on a rented apartment for many years, let alone the entire life! This is what has saved us from many crisis, I mean the real estate assets that we have and that we inherit from previous generations when we aren't capable to buy one.
It sounds like Singapore, in which the rich-poor divide is growing wider. The richer children can expect their parents to subsidise the buying of a property, but the poorer ones will probably never get out of their rented flats
