Thanks for giving my meandering thoughts some serious consideration 😀
At the risk of sounding rude, I would say that Singapore is quite a prosperous nation. In absolute terms, most people ought to be able to afford kids. However, regardless of our income levels, we feel poor especially when compared to our more successful peers on the corporate leader. We also are unwilling to give up our present standard of living (which includes travelling for yuppies). So we feel that we are incapable of raising a child up to our high expectations.
I feel that life can be simple but sometimes, we complicate matters a bit too much.
How about you? Is the ability to travel important to you?
