But can't this happen with other territories? What bad thing could happen to ~bitcoin territory?

Indeed, but i dont think others are as important or have as much impact.
If you wanted to harm the site, by elevating a lot the fee no one would add new content.

I understand your concern, but I think that if someone does this, not only will they gain nothing, but it's always possible to create other territories. It's not impossible, but I don't see it happening.

in a perfect world.. that would not happen.. But on troll land.. Not so sure
And yes, you can create other territories.. But that one.. is the cornerstone
