I was thinking that was a bit weird, since I know you are from Canada. Usually they spell it grey, right? Nothing wrong with either spelling, just poking fun :)

Yes we spell it grey up here in the great white north. We didn't fight for our liberty from the Brits so we don't get the privilege of rewriting the English language.

I just found out Canadian geese go south for the winter. Do you know where they end up?

Great question. I have always just arbitrarily accepted that as a fact and never researched it further.

Here is what google says.

"Canada geese migrate south for the winter to the United States and Mexico, depending on food availability and weather conditions. Their migration can be up to 3,000 miles long, and they can fly up to 1,500 miles in a day."

Its right. They go from Canada, which is butt f&$* cold to Minnesota. Minnesota is warmer than Canada. Thats how far "south" they go.

I read they go all the way to Florida and Central America in some cases.

What is interesting is all our ducks seem to stick around for the winter but the geese fly south.

I guess it depends on the flock. I just found it funny that some consider Minnesota "south". It is...but the winters there are harsh, too.

But...it actually is warmer, as unbelievable as that sounds. When I think of south I think warmer weather than Minnesota, but that is just me.
