I have been thinking about this for some time and I am finally making it happen. Next month on JAN 8th, I will be hosting a Freedom Tech / Bitcoin meetup. A place for people to learn about and discuss Bitcoin, Nostr and other freedom tech topics. I live in southern AZ near a small poor border town called Douglas. A place that would especially benefit from adopting these technologies. The meetup will be in a nearby town called Bisbee. Anyone in Arizona chance? The group is called Freedom Technology AZ. We are focused on the smaller towns and cities in southern AZ, like Bisbee, Douglas, Sierra Vista, Benson, and Tombstone. We will be talking and teaching about Bitcoin, nostr, and other freedom tech. Bisbee will be the primary central location. We probably won't go to Tucson as there is already a group serving that area.

How far are you from Tucson?
About 3 hours. 30 minutes outside a border town in coshise county, called Douglas..I am close to the new Mexico and mexico borders..

Thank you. I don't know what to expect. I am just hoping someone shows up. There are a few people that have mentioned Bitcoin on the Bisbe facebook. And I have plenty of time to work on getting the word out in my little town. We will see.
