To preview the mediocre NFC West showdown between the Rams and 49ers, we're going to have @realBitcoinDog join as our first ever guest.
I'm sure we'll talk about the NBA Emirates Cup Survivor Pool, as well as getting his impressions of Stacker News and ~Stacker_Sports.
Let us know what you'd like to get out of our first ménage à trois.
I’d like to get @Undisciplined to tell his full Bitcoin story on air for me and @siggy47

I just sent you both an email with some topics to potentially discuss.

Any options for the 49ers to go through to play-offs?
reply
They aren't eliminated but they are 2 games behind in the division right now and don't have the tiebreaker currently (although they could have the tiebreaker pending how the rest of the season plays out). So they would need to win their last 4 games and have the other teams slip up and all end up with the same or worse divisional record.
It's feasible but unlikely. I may do a post later this week about how all NFC West teams could finish 9-8 overall and 3-3 in the division and we would be in tiebreaker chaos.

I think that you mentioned in a previous episode of the podcast that towards the end of the regular season, 49ers could recover some key players and have some options. So after beating the Bears, I thought that your predictions were getting closer..

Let’s put it this way. The Rams beat the Bills, but the 49ers couldn’t. Case closed!

That did occur.

I see, I watched the Bills vs Rams for a while and was entertaining

If they win the rest of their games, they'd almost certainly get in. The problem is that they have a really tough schedule and have already lost a bunch of potential tiebreakers.
reply
They could still lose one more. Although unlikely there is a path to all 4 teams finishing 9-8 and 3-3 in the division which would be wild. I was telling carresan I might do a post later in the week about how that could play out. Probably Wednesday or Thursday as it might not be relevant after Thursday Night.

Please include some chess news. It's also a big game.
