I've always found the Fermi paradox to be extremely interesting. Let's just hope we're on the other side of the great filter.
Fermi Paradox is just crazy! The idea of the Great Filter is chilling. If we're on the other side of it, it would mean we’re incredibly lucky to have made it this far. But if it’s still ahead of us, it raises some daunting questions about our survival.

Why do you consider him a jackass? A few reasons I’ve come across are that he occasionally makes unverified claims and seems to push the narrative that the government genuinely cares about people.
I recall watching a video of him perhaps 10 years ago talking about string theory. He said he was 1 of only perhaps 3 people in universe smart enough to understand it. That's indicative of his whole schtick, he's super smart- just ask him.
