Born in the 90s, I grew up in a time when life was simple yet challenging, especially in the village. Although I was born into a middle class family, my parents couldn't afford to buy a television. Back then, owning a television was a luxury that only a few households could afford.

I still remember the excitement of going to neighbor homes to watch television - if they allowed us, of course. Some welcomed us with open arms, while others chased us away. There were even times when we'd peek through window holes just to catch a glimpse of what was on TV . I used to beg my parents to get a television. I would even cry and plead. I still remember how happy I was when we got our first TV when i was in grade 7. It felt like a dream come true.

Television was such a craze back then. But how times have changed! Today, almost every household has a TV, along with countless other gadgets and modern conveniences. But the charm of television has faded. Even my kid hardly ever watches it anymore. As for me, I only switch it on for live sports or a good movie sometimes. Life has moved forward so quickly, and technology has revolutionized everything.
