I'm testing out different lightning address providers this morning.
I sent myself 100 sats, but it would only let me withdraw 99. Now I have a single sat on WoS.
Even if I top it up, they require 0.3% to cover potential fees.
How can I get this single sat out of the wallet? It doesn't matter to me where it goes. I just want it added back into circulation.

Does a single sat really matter to this extent?
reply
Either all of them matter or none of them do.

Here, have a single sat (I would have given you more but that destroys the joke)

Love that answer.

The remaining balance, whether 1 sat or 10,000 doesn't become "unspendable", it just remains in Wallet of Satoshi's internal ledger.
Would you prefer that they have a 1 sat minimum fee (so that when you withdraw your last sat goes entirely to fees) and there was then no LN transaction as the result?
reply
Sure! Whatever works. Blue wallet has an option to send the remaining balance to various projects as a donation.
It was free to send and receive from SN so idk why it wouldn't just let me send the full 100 sats.
My animal brain just won't let me delete the app as long as it has a non-zero balance.

You can delete the app and then reinstall it later ... Wallet of Satoshi will still show your 1 sat.

How does that work?

You can link an e-mail address, and then the funds are tied to that e-mail. Linking an e-mail address is optional.

This is a problem all custodial wallets have to some extent.
Some of them allow you to submit a zero sat invoice and send the max out. I'm not sure if WoS does that.
