There's no such thing as correct in my eyes and I'd even stretch to good. It's a very subjective experience based on personal tastes.
There are things that sound appealing to me or others that don't sound appealing to someone else. Personally I try to look at the technical ability of the musician and ask myself the simple question. "Can I do what they do?" It's usually no, then I go and find out how they do it and then you have and understanding of just how complex their musicianship is, even if to your ears it's not very good.
Take screamo for example, producing that noise without causing tears and damage to your vocal folds is actually incredibly technical it's in that that I personally find respect for the artist, even if the genre isn't to my tastes, an appreciation of their talent is something I think we can all learn to have.
To your specific track, were the sounds they made appealing to my ears, yes. But by no means is that a prerequisite for it being good, I'm not qualified to call something good (personally I don't think anyone is). But did I enjoy it, did I hear the message, did I listen to the way the track was constructed and how meticulously and intelligently the artist placed each pause and note. Or with regards to vocals how the vocalist utilised their breath control so they didn't sound like they were straining. All those things are evidence of talent and ability. And far be it for me to claim to be able to do better.
I agree with all that. Great insights.

🤣🤣 seems you caught me in an insightful mood. 🤣🤣
Personally I find there's always something in every genre that I can say, "yaknow, it's pretty cool how X did Y" and sometimes that's enough to begin to appreciate the artwork they've produced.
