I cannot disagree with you at all on your conclusions.
I wouldn’t sully my brain cells thinking about Gates’ mental processes. Just seeing him in action is enough to discourage a saint.

I've not read much psycho-analysis, but I assume it is some kind of god complex, borne out of the failure to accept mortality, and a denial of realization that all men are largely equal.

I guess so is morality and so are ethics.
