This part of the op is training the public on how to use discernment, an actor/puppet can't be prepared for a 3+ hour wide-ranging discussion that looks authentic. These long-form interviews have been sandbagged to the end of the cycle for anyone still on the fence about who has a pulse.
You don't necessarily have to like the people that CAN do these long interviews, it's like a proof-of-work CAPTCHA for people with their own thoughts.
Who could possibly be on the fence right now or today?
No one is 'undecided' because 'undecided' voters are leaning one way. They refuse to admit their preferences. More people want to pick your 'brain' if you all yourself 'undecided'.

They walk among us, the archetype that cant bear the risk of making the wrong choice convince themselves not to be informed or make one at all.
Others want their suspicions confirmed or to feel better about themselves for their decision.
It's not just about persuasion, but also activation. You can lean one way or another, but that's not the same of actually going out and making sure you're the one to use your ballot. A little more confidence may be the nudge, which is all this late cycle spending is about.

If you are truly on the fence, don't vote or vote third party or write in someone else

Someone truly on the fence isn't rational to begin with, they operate on emotion
