Good/Bad?
I sat through the Trump interview, which was a bit all over the place and JR a little too deferential. We got some nice tidbits ("Kamala is a low-iq person") but otherwise nothing major.
WHAT caught your eye (well, "ear"?) on this one?
Do these "bro media" hits move the needle for any one side? Why is Team Kamala not going for it too?
I haven't listened yet but I will give it a listen over the weekend. I thought the Trump one was ok.

I’m listening. I enjoy the “behind the scenes” palace intrigue like the story of how Trump told Vance he got the VP role.

right! those tidbits are pretty nice

Team Kamala
This part of the op is training the public on how to use discernment, an actor/puppet can't be prepared for a 3+ hour wide-ranging discussion that looks authentic. These long-form interviews have been sandbagged to the end of the cycle for anyone still on the fence about who has a pulse.
You don't necessarily have to like the people that CAN do these long interviews, it's like a proof-of-work CAPTCHA for people with their own thoughts.
reply
Who could possibly be on the fence right now or today?
No one is 'undecided' because 'undecided' voters are leaning one way. They refuse to admit their preferences. More people want to pick your 'brain' if you all yourself 'undecided'.
reply
They walk among us, the archetype that cant bear the risk of making the wrong choice convince themselves not to be informed or make one at all.
Others want their suspicions confirmed or to feel better about themselves for their decision.
It's not just about persuasion, but also activation. You can lean one way or another, but that's not the same of actually going out and making sure you're the one to use your ballot. A little more confidence may be the nudge, which is all this late cycle spending is about.
reply
If you are truly on the fence, don't vote or vote third party or write in someone else
reply
Someone truly on the fence isn't rational to begin with, they operate on emotion

Thought he was pretty good. Seems very intelligent at the very least.
He seemed like a disaster pick initially especially after the donut shop fiasco but he seems to be picking up some steam...
reply
Indeed, indeed. Quite impressed with him

Team Kamala had a scheduling 'conflict'.
She wanted one hour via Zoom. When Rogan said no to Zoom, she wanted him to fly to her at a location she chose. Rogan said no again.
Her conditions made it impossible for the interview to happen. By design.

A nice guy, like his future boss.
Trump and Vance on Rogan, PBD etc will make it difficult for future presidential candidates to avoid such long format unscripted conversations. It's possibly the beginning of a new era in journalism?
Why is Team Kamala not going for it too?
This is quite obvious, isn't it?

In the context of Bitcoin, JD Vance is a positive. It is important to recognize the origin of JD Vance as VP candidate through Peter Thiel and David Sacks.
At least they answer some questions and have plans on how to accomplish our countries problems. Whereas the lefts just ad hominem the conservatives to death. Not helpful

I'll have a listen later today.

it's mostly a conversation about common sense principles, and it's refreshing to hear, but I think for most people still far from being widely adopted
