You work for NASA?

The article title is actually deceiving because after reading the article more thoroughly I found out they make themselves clear that NASA is doing "gracefully" system shit downs to save energy.
NASA recently made one of its hard decisions to close down Voyager 2 after four decades of discovery. This was done out of care and consideration to preserve the spacecraft’s energy for future use. Although it generates a little less power per year, the spacecraft is powered by a generator that uses heat from decaying plutonium to create electricity. NASA wants to continue using the Voyager 2 until the 2030s.

The Science, Space, and Technology Committee. We actually passed the NASA Reauth Act of 2024 out of the House in Sept.
NASA is almost exclusively in our jurisdiction so I’m going to trust my coworkers on the Space side lol!
