Looks like it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteoric_iron
The first iron weapons were forged in the Bronze Age and clove those bronze swords asunder in battle.
One of the first steps in the arms race.

If we think about history, people were really dumb those times, killing each others for all kind of stupid things.
reply
I think we are still doing it, in spades! You can look around the world and see it going on right now.
reply
oh yes, but now we are killing each others with class and tesla robots :)
oh wait, I forgot about jabs and plan-demics, these more subtle
reply
Yeah, more subtle, but they net in a whole lot more ‘fish”.
Maybe sheepfish, we have those here. Lots of them.
They stand in lines for self-extermination by people who openly say what they are doing and why.
I just could not understand it or them.
reply
Those are the sheep that even kneel for the masters... 😂😂😂
Others are just NPC players
reply
Well, sometimes if you don’t kneel you wind up as mutton chops.
I am happy my knees don’t work like that, they just don’t bend.

It reminds me of this quote I once encountered:
"the Chinese phrase nán rén xī xià yǒu huáng jīn literally translates to "the man has gold under his knees". Figuratively, it means a man who is not easily brought to kneel before others due to his pride or moral integrity."
Sadly, this is an evergreen insight about history.
reply
I don’t know about history, but is is sure an evergreen insight about people, everywhere and always.
To change that would be.a monumental task, but it is done one at a time, by themself.
