Well, sometimes if you don’t kneel you wind up as mutton chops. I am happy my knees don’t work like that, they just don’t bend.
It reminds me of this quote I once encountered: "the Chinese phrase nán rén xī xià yǒu huáng jīn literally translates to "the man has gold under his knees". Figuratively, it means a man who is not easily brought to kneel before others due to his pride or moral integrity."
