The difference between zapping the content you like and zapping the rewards pool is that zapping the rewards pool helps support those who are zapping that top content.
The genius of the rewards system is that it gets people to zap content at all and we can put our thumbs on that scale.
Thanks. I wanted to put that as well as a difference but I'm not sure everyone understands that. But because of this, I see I've got a few haters here as well. Quite often I do early zapping and I've told the secret in the post. I zap all top posts and top comments daily. I've been doing this at least after the MSM after I read somewhere that to be on the leaderboard, it's essential to zap top content.

I zap all top posts and top comments daily
There's a selfish way to interpret that (which is clearly what some are doing), but there's also an altruistic way (which is what you describe in the post).

Thanks for understanding 🙏
I'm sure you're talking about "the cause".
This one ?
the cause of building a community that is united, that is like minded and that has equally echoes the sounds of freedom and sovereignty, that dreams Satoshi's vision be turned into reality else the world is running after a doom.

I was thinking about this line, actually:
I propose every stacker must donate (zap) the top posts and comments everyday to appreciate the best content creators (stackers) for the day.

Thanks 🙏
This one's is a must if the idea of SN is to sustain.
Did you ever zap without reading and by just relying on the list of top posts at the end of day?
reply
No, sometimes I zap before reading, but only when I know I'm going to zap the author anyway.
My preference is still to zap according to my tastes in content and donate to the rewards pool to support other top stackers.

That's good to know. I zap without reading the content from stackers who I've subscribed to. You, siggy, graruby, k00b and a few others who I subscribe to but I've caught a kind of habit zapping to the notifications I get.

If your purpose is to reward certain people for posting period, then it makes sense to zap before reading.
I zap all of TomK's ~econ posts, for instance, regardless of whether I get much out of a particular one, because I'm glad he posts such regular econ updates.
