Virtually ALL Back Muscles in 1 Pull Up: Gironda Pull Up - Mover's Odyssey
Pull ups are considered a vertical pulling exercise, largely targeting latissimus muscles and biceps. However, there is one variation of pull ups that is not only a vertical pull, but also a horizontal pull, much like rows. This pull up, known as the Gironda pull up, targets not only the lats and biceps, but also the muscles of the upper back. It also employs the active arch hang position which is so healthy for the shoulders and great for scapular control and shoulder mobility. This is especially healing for the slouching shoulder posture.
awesome, this is what i shall do!
recently i decided to do mostly chest-to-bar pull-ups (aka arched pull-up), and today i realized that muscle-ups on rings are now pretty easy - i can go really fast or really slowly. i have never tried the Gironda pull-up and don't think i have even seen it practiced.
