Sound like the bazaar in New Delhi. I guess you can take the Indians out of India but not the India out of the Indians. As you noted it was straight out of Seinfeld.

Are you going to vote in the upcoming election? I don’t like either of the candidates.

Well there's more than two, but you are right, none worth voting for..

Vote for me.

It's so nice to see all these guns and horses around now. They also work very well as a sign of commitment, just like the hats were in the beginning. I wonder when they will be very common.

reply

I like coinos as an external wallet but getting a lot more failed zaps than I expected. Might need a backup plan.

reply

I think if cashu.me could run the NWC stuff on a server so you don't have to have the wallet open in a tab to send+recv would make it a very nice wallet for SN if one doesn't mind not one but two layers of custody.

I added a PR for receives today. Let's see where this goes.

What a hell of a thing to do to a kid!!! Everyone seems to be in a fugue state about nurturing children to become adults. It will never happen this way and you’ll notice it at colleges. Lots of unformed children pretending to be adults.

It'll be a heck of a journey, this will be my first. Looking to embrace the challenge.

reply

Some of the best times come when your kid is old enough to understand what is going on around him or her.
I once made a demonstration of how long you get to interact with a kid with quality time.
I took a 72 inch string to represent the full life of your child.
Then I cut about 51 inches off of it, to represent when your child becomes an adult.
Then I cut off 5 more inches to represent your child getting a driver, license.
On the other end, I cut off 5 inches to represent them being too young to do a lot with as a father.
That left 11 inches, representing the eleven years you have a chance to have quality time with you child that can never be replaced.
Those are the years you get to turn your child from a kid into an adult in the image you would like him or her to be.
Only those 11 years!!

reply

Not sure what type of parent I'll be. I'm assuming I'd be the hands off type....hopefully not neglectful. I'd be happy as long as they are a truth seeker, wouldn't want to shape them into something that they end up regretting, although I'm not sure what direction or how much hand holding/shaping is necessary. I really should focus on spending quality time with the kid, 11 years seems like a lot but out of 72 it seems extremely short. Thanks for the advice and story.

CNN: "Under Donald Trump, you criticized the wall more than 50 times. You called it stupid, useless and a medieval vanity project. Is a border wall stupid?"

Kamala: "Let's talk about Trump."

CNN: But you approved a project to continue building the wall, is that stupid or not?

Kamala: What Donald Trump did is stupid, but I support good ideas.

CNN: So you support the wall.

Kamala: I support border security🤡

2. Never answer to your Name

You must get into the habit of not answering to your name; either in person, or over the phone.

You will already know what these people are trying to do; they wish to contract with your legal identity, and not you as a living breathing man or woman.

This will become evident when they use the word Mr or Mrs before your name.

You can respond to this in a couple of ways:

Option 1

First simply reply that “MR [your name]” isn’t you, and therefore offer declined, and end the conversation there and then.

If they try and insist, ask if they have any evidence that you are indeed your legal title i.e. “MR [your name]”, which of course they do not have.

Note: This is where your affidavit of status comes into play, but do not tip your hand yet, you want them to incriminate themselves first.

Option 2

You take the offensive route and not answer their question, but instead return a question back at them requiring them to identify themselves first.

They made the first move in this game, now it’s your turn, and you’re not backing down.

reply
reply

For option 2, can one simply ask, (RE a phone call) who is calling?

reply

Option 2 is my favorite. I takes them off their game right away.
@Lux, are you a natural law expert?

reply

He's doing an excellent work posting every day a very informative "pill".
See here a full list: #586916

Unfortunately not many stackers are paying attention to his pills.

reply

Thanks for the link. Bookmarked

reply

That is their loss. I find them very informative and have used the same advice in the past.

reply

not an expert at all, more like learning in public

reply

Learning in public is fine, others get to learn with you. I am sure that many of the pre-indoctrinated have not seen this at all. Especially, lawyers do not really know about this.

reply

Fun fact: my sister is a lawyer. And when I start talking with her about this stuff, she get so angry and told me to not talk with her again about this.
We have 6 years not talking each others. Imagine, my own sister hates me because I know this stuff.

Definitely those who knows about this do not want to talk about because they swear an oath to the BAR, the cast and they are fucking scared.

reply

My daughter-in-law is a lawyer, too. I understood this situation before she was a lawyer and before I met her. I knew that if I talked to her about it there would be problems. You just cannot change some people, no matter how you would wish different. I guess you could call it a case of self-censorship.

reply

Good info. I try to always go with Option 2.

reply

I’m now free to go?

Happiness Journal 24/10/24

Today was Marking Day, which meant that the kids didn’t have to come to school. This meant that I had the bandwidth to indulge in my hobbies.

  • Drank the cheapest coffee in Singapore (under a dollar!)
  • Read Romeo and Juliet
  • Decluttered my work desk partially
  • Went to the recycling machine a whopping 3 times! Earned a buck today.
  • Tucked into free lunch and drink blessed by 2 colleagues
  • Listened to my son sing a silly version of the alphabet song. A B C Boo! 👻

Today is a happy day!

reply

Take them when you can get them! Is your son just at the age of learning the alphabet? If so, you have lots of fun and adventures coming your way.

That's so interesting. The one time I successfully grew sunflowers, we had an early freeze that killed them before I got any seeds.

That happens a lot here, too. What is worse is seeing them grow all summer long and then they don’t get the right amount of time to get mature. The consolation is that the birds just love them!
