European regulators may hit Elon Musk with substantial fines, as they explore including revenue from his other ventures like SpaceX and Neuralink in penalties against his social media platform X. Under the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA), firms failing to control illegal content and disinformation can face penalties of up to 6% of global turnover. While no final decision has been made, the EU seems determined to impose fines severe enough to prevent repeated violations.
The idea of freedom represented by the bureaucrats in Brussels is gradually being revealed. It's going to be a tough fight for our civil rights!

From what I remember, he didnt want to pay rent on his brick and mortar building because he thought rent was too high. For twitter. Something about the legal case would bankrupt the building owners? I think they eventually came to an agreement.

It must be nice to be so rich that you have tons of bargaining power.

That was during the time that remote work was really popular.

That makes sense. Land lords were pretty desperate to retain tenants, so I'm not surprised Elon took advantage of that to get his rent reduced.

It was a perfect moment in time. Now everyone is returning back to the office, he would probably have a hard time doing that.

Maybe not in CA, but definitely it would be harder to do in TX.

This will end up with Elon bending the knee as usual and applying more censorship to Xitter, just like in Brazil.

The truth is, I agree with the effort that Europe is currently making to be irrelevant on a global level... On the other hand, I think that the sanctions or fines that they can impose on Musk are of no concern to him at all... if we think about it, that would be publicity for his companies, that everything on a global level and on networks has something to say about him as a person... and about his companies!!! That is marketing... there are even characters like presidents... the case of the president of Argentina who sees him as a "God" the person who is changing the world 🤦

Europe is really trying hard to become globally irrelevant.
