I'm wondering if anybody else is getting this feeling right now. Do you feel like you don't have enough? I've been stacking to the best of my abilities over the past couple of years, but as the number gets higher, my dollars are getting me less and less bitcoin.
Are you stacking the same amounts as you were when it was cheaper? Do you have the feeling that you don't have enough? If there was a level at which to stop buying as much, what level would you do that at?
I only bring this up as I have been living like a monk, in an old apartment for the past couple years, but have optimized my stacking because of this. I do want to enjoy some fruits of life...
Yes and no, although I've fought like mad and also have more than most, its freedom that I stack for real!!
This is why I'm Rebel Nomad, I need to move around, finding the cracks in the matrix to thrive there :-)
Have I got enough Bitcoin for that? Probably, if I keep working at this every waking moment, in a relaxed, relentless way!
But then earning in Bitcoin becomes the top priority, so that I won't need to sell any at all...
reply
Right! Having the full freedom to spend your days as you wish, without any limitations!
The hard part becomes, what opportunities do you find satisfying and also pay in bitcoin? I've been looking for a bit now and haven't found too much.

Thanks, seen that site before, but also I've been in a deeeep process of doing things without giving away any mail address for anything, and definitely staying well clear of KYC :-)
Oh well, I might abuse our dogs Googlag address for this to, for a scouting round!
reply
I really need to get a PO box. There is so much Bitcoin related things I want, but I don't want to risk my address being made for the world to see. Another thing you could do is use it right before you change the location of where you live.
reply
There are solutions around, but of course they get more limited by the day...
That reminds me, I should "train" more hotels ;-)

We'll have to deal with fiat or even gold as an intermediary for a while, at least in the areas that will have the most freedom from a practical standpoint!
There will always be a way, in most cases simply walking around asking at all the cash exchanges, gold and pawn shops, and wherever you find experienced people should work out ;-)
A few years from now? Who knows, I think we'll be able to spend and transact for most things simply since Lightning adoption will grow, but I'll also handle it it that doesn't happen...

Why is 1 btc the suicide stack?
reply
That is for the ones that started in early years but as idiots, they lost their BTC (in landfills) or sold them and they came back to Bitcoin in 2020... Their regrets will haunt them all their miserable life, for being IDIOTS.
reply
hahaha, a nightmare you wake up to every day. Maybe they can work there way up to 3-5 Bitcoin through diligence.
reply
nope. Did I have to remind you that for the next 100 years we have to mine only 1.14M BTC? https://bitbo.io/how-many-bitcoin/ No matter how much fiat you have available, you will never recover that loss...

Stacking hurts, to be honest, but the effort pays off.
reply
It always feels expensive doesn't it? I've never bought bitcoin thinking it was cheap.... Even at 9K back in 2020
reply
The truth is I don’t need BTC just the bond that we create here at SN is more than enough. Que sera sera.

There's no such thing as "enough bitcoin".

There's no such thing as "enough bitcoin".
I agree with this, every goal I hit it increases to another big goal - almost feeling unattainable

Yes and no... I am blaming myself after i did not go All In on 15k... I bought a good stack around 20k, so thats ok. But i am always thinking, why didnt i put more... I was buying dip after dip but at 15k I bought to less... :'-(
Now a days I am All in (pre halving) and i am super happy, that i always know where to sell my btc if I would have an emergency fiat case (like hospital or so) - and this options are p2p, so I am never giving back my sats to Blackrock or Sailor...
reply
Yea, I'm not making excuses here, but I lost my job when it hit 15K. I was still buying, but was a little pinched.

Life is suffering. Nirvana is escaping that, and thus life. Your money, and thus your stack, is an exchange of your time. Your life is finite. Make your own decisions. Stack or smoke bro, you're just stardust.

Taking the step back, I like it. Easy to get caught up in the would ofs and could ofs - life is much grander than that.

I would like a dip but if it's time it's time. Bitcoin waits for no human.

Yes. On the other hand, I know that some fiat shitcoins are needed to live day by day. Set up a sats goal and stick to it. And when it's reached you're done
reply
Yea, i look at stacking like running a marathon. Once you get to the finish line, the last thing you want to do is run more.
Take a week off, drink some mai tais on a yacht, and then get back at it in the weeks/months that follow.
reply
wow, that's a big ambiguity, I think that on the one hand for some it will never be enough no matter how much they have, either because of greed or simply because they are a fierce hoarder! and on the other hand there will possibly be those who already have enough to live three lives, so they are calm living the only one they have, concluding that they already have enough to live and leave to their next generation at least so they don't worry about continuing to pile up or not.
reply
Right, I know many bitcoiners that don't buy bitcoin anymore (that have 20+ btc).
For them, they are content, and don't want to buy more at these prices (not saying it is right or wrong, but they are satisfied with their stack).
reply
what a level! That's the level of carefreeness I want to reach at some point to make the most of my life.
reply
Since I started my journey in Bitcoin, I continue working to accumulate the largest amount of Bitcoin and I feel satisfied with what I have so far (although I know that having more would not be a problem).
reply
Same! I'm pretty with what I have as well, I just know sometimes I can do a little better and delay gratification a little longer.
