Zero, until I know that there is an area where I can be sure that the totalitarian state won't take it away from me or murder me using some shitty corporation, or even directly...
Won't rent either, except for rooms at around 100-200 bucks a months for half the year max, until maybe 2028.
If I need to patch over with a longer period away from where I've got shelter then hopefully a small sailboat again.
Maaaaaybe some literal ruin to rebuild somewhere rural, but won't count on it!

I pay the rent of a house in sats. P2P, every fucking month. And I like it.
Buying a house nowadays is PURE MADNESS. Spend you sats ONLY on things that really matter in a certain point in time in your life.

Owning a roof as property is really, in normal terms, a peace of mind. But the thing is that we do not live in a normal world, rather we are borrowed into a world dominated by the logic of the absurd, corrupt at its root and malicious.
Thinking of a home as a property to ensure peace of mind and inheritance for my children, would be logical, but there is a problem, it is confiscatable, so it is no longer really mine. Another issue is the locality where I am, many times I would look for a good neighborhood, but who guarantees that it will continue to be like that? When I buy a house it is for me and my family, but when my children grow up, they will have to look for their own houses for themselves and their families, so mine will no longer be an inheritance.
Therefore, my SATs are not confiscatable and what I save in the future will be a true inheritance for my children.

For people with greater financial security, there is a very consistent logic in renting instead of buying a house, but the world is complicated!

I own a house already, I bought it before I discovered Bitcoin. Otherwise I'd probably have continued to rent a room and stacked sats instead, at least for one cycle.
I value home ownership, but as @BTCLNAT says, it's not really mine as it can be confiscated. Renting seems horrible though, because it's servitude. The WEF wants you to rent stuff and not own it.

Return on rent is always -100%. I rather own and not be at the mercy of a landlord telling me I can’t have pets or refusing to fix things. I would sell my whole stack to secure my housing. Then just start stacking again.
Like Hal Finney said. You can’t live in a bitcoin. Can’t eat one either.

I'll spend whatever I can. I've been living in a rental house since my birth. I first want to give a house to my family. It's my first priority.

i will rent for as long as tolerable, but even renting is unacceptable. i would prefer to be a steward of the land, and put in whatever effort and funds that are necessary to be a good steward.

Where, though?

Basically never in human history have normal people bought houses for 20% of their net worth. Not in the middle ages, not in victorian times, not in the 1920s, not after ww2, not your parents, not your grandparents. Not with gold, not with silver backed currency, not pre 1974, not post 1974.
Even if you are the most optimistic person on earth about a better monetary system. This scale has no reason to go from 2% to 20%. Be realistic. Start at 80%, end with 100%.
Sorry to be a killjoy.

I agree that owning a house is good and at the same time it is useless because they can take advantage of it... on the other hand my situation is peculiar because I pay rent in a country that is not mine... and my house is in another country closed and with chains on its main entrance and collecting dust... since we had to emigrate... now that I know about bitcoin I asked the person who rents me if she would accept a part of the monthly payment in SATS... and obviously since she does not know what I am talking about she told me NO... later I will talk to her and I will explain to her and I will try to make her understand what bitcoin is..

Honestly I would commit to buying a house first and then saving my remaining in sats. I think I’m culturally conditioned to value a roof over my head and a house to my name. I’m lucky enough that I am able to afford public housing in my country
