Seeing that the usual bankster response to leaving the fiat currency, central bank, and IMF mode of operation is a quick hanging or ride on a bayonet, I expect to see some action when THEY feel adequately bothered by it. After all, El Salvador is not the largest economy in the world to loot clean.

To be fair the USD is still the main currency used in El Salvador and the USD was adopted some years previous to the current government coming to power.
So El Salvadoreans do still actually subsidise the USD/USA by using their currency and experiencing its debasement but not getting any benefit from the US government expenditure involved.
That said yes El Salvador is pissing off the global fiat debt slavery bankers cartel by showing it is possible to give your citizens freedom of choice in what token they use for MoE and SoV.
