Noted.
Hedged my bet emotionally as a cards fan. Big comeback win at the expense of my shot at the pool Sat stash.
Good luck to the remaining stackers

49ers gave the Cards quite the gift. I do think it should have been a penalty on the Mason fumble. He punched him in the head before he punched the ball out but didn't get called is what it is, you need to hold onto the ball. Game shouldn't have been close at that point anyways.

The play of the game was moody hurting himself trying to tackle DJ Dallas

49ers spent a 3rd round draft pick on that guy. He has a big leg but can't kick under pressure. Is highly inconsistent hitting the touchbacks and never seems to kick the ball straight even when he does make them. If he just kicks a touchback like he is supposed to he doesn't get hurt.
Also on Purdy. They went for it on 4th and 23 because they didn't have a kicker but he should have thrown the ball away on 3rd down instead of taking an 11 yard sack. He ran around for about 10 seconds before taking the sack so it's not like he didn't have time to throw it away. He makes a few scramble plays and great downfield throws last week and suddenly he thinks he is Mahomes out there.

The question is do you pay Purdy top 10 QB money when his contract is up

This is a tough question. Yesterday is the first game this season I thought he wasn't good. Even the Vikings game he was pretty good but got no help from the OLine and Aiyuk was non-existent. He has been pretty good overall considering no CMC and his other weapons like Kittle and Deebo have been in and out of the lineup and Aiyuk rusty. But as teams try to take away the run and short passing game, he seems to be playing more reckless this year. I am not a fan of that. 49ers are a run first, YAC, efficient, protect the ball scheme.
Fortunately it doesn't need to be decided after week 5.

49ers biggest advantage rn is a 7th round rookie qb salary playing like a top 10 guy

Absolutely. They should be able to keep the band together for the first few years of a Purdy extension. Cap will likely go up and they can keep the first few years cap hit pretty low like the Eagles did with Hurts but at some point there will be trade offs and even as early as this offseason they might need to make a couple hard choices. Greenlaw, Lenoir, Ward, Hufunga, Campbell, Banks, Feliciano are all starters that are FAs after this year. I expect they will be able to keep a few but definitely some turnover.
