No time today for a properly curated puzzle, so I leave you with a (surprisingly easy?) entrance exam sheet for MIT. I assume this to be real, but I could not check it. Time constraints might have been the limiting factor in this exam.
Previous iteration: #705338 (I just updated a visual representation of the surprising validity of that equality).

  1. e - {√(e+1)+2}+(e-e^(-3))√(e-4) e=8 |> 8 - {3+2}+(8-2)*2 = 8-5+12 = 15
  2. 3a - [b+(2a-b)-(a-b)] = 3a - (b-a) = 2a-b
Too much work to type all that on my phone. 😅

Interesting how much things have changed in 100 years. This would be considered middle school to early high school level math nowadays.
